How To Link 3S BMS Boards With Lithium Battery Packs

To make the connection between the 3S BMS Boards (Battery Management System Boards) and the lithium battery pack, you can roughly refer to the following steps:


 

1. Connection of the battery pack:

 – Open the lithium battery box, find the battery grouping number table, and arrange the batteries according to the serial number of the grouping number table.

 – Make series connection of the lithium battery pack. If parallel connection is required, make parallel connection first and then series connection.

 – Select the appropriate model of protection board.

 – When wiring, first connect the wire labeled “B-” on the protection board to the total negative terminal of the battery pack.

 – Find the voltage collection line of the protection board, connect the voltage collection line labeled “0” to the total negative terminal of the battery pack, the collection line labeled “1” to the positive terminal of the first battery, and the collection line labeled “2” to the positive terminal of the first battery, and the collection line labeled “2” to the positive terminal of the first battery. The collection line labeled “1” is connected to the positive terminal of the first battery, the collection line labeled “2” is connected to the positive terminal of the second battery, and so on, and the collection line labeled “3” is connected to the positive terminal of the last battery (that is, the total positive terminal of the battery pack).

 – Connect the red power cable (labeled “B+”) to the total positive terminal of the battery pack, and the other end should be well insulated and protected.

3. Check the connection:

 – Finally, the protection board voltage collection line of the line plug into the protection board on the line socket, with a multimeter DC voltage gear, respectively, to measure the total voltage of the battery pack, the battery pack total positive terminal and the protection of the board marked “P-” between the lead end of the voltage, if the two voltages are the same, that the protection board is connected properly.

4. Charging and discharging operation:

 – Charging operation method: connect the input of the charger to the alternating current, the positive pole (+) of the charger output socket to the positive (B+) of the battery pack output lead, and the negative pole (-) of the output socket to the P- terminal of the protection board.

– Discharge operation method: connect the positive terminal (+) of the input end of the load to the total positive lead of the battery pack (B+), and the negative terminal (-) of the input end of the load to the P-end of the protection board.

5. Precautions:

 – Ensure that all wire connections are firm and correct during the connection process to avoid short-circuiting or incorrect connections leading to battery damage or safety accidents.

 – During the connection process, the instruction manual provided by the manufacturer of the BMS board and lithium battery pack should be followed to ensure proper installation.
